Review of Imtiaz Ali's Highway

It is my favorite Imtiaz Ali's film. Slow, dark and meanders sometimes into nowhere but the journey on this picturesque highway through the incredible India is interesting. The performances are outstanding and the music by AR Rahman haunting.

TC talks to Jane De Suza, author of The Spy Who Lost Her Head

An interview with Jane De Suza

The Spy Who Lost Her Head: A book review by Monika Manchanda

When a friend has written a book and you pick it up to review, it’s always a dilemma.

What if you don’t like the book?
What if it doesn’t match the expectations you have of your friend.
Will your friend’s funny bone reflect in the book or will it fall flat?

These were some of my thoughts as I began reading “The Spy Who Lost Her Head" by Jane De Suza, a friend and fellow blogger.

The Monuments Men - a movie review

Famous last words – after defying the critics dismal review of ‘Monuments Men’ with the smug assurance that my heart throb, George Clooney (by now, all husbands must be resigned to a threesome … Him, Her & George!!!) would rise above a so called bad film, we actually walked out half-way through the movie.

So technically, this is not a review because I am sure there are rules about offering an opinion on half-a-film! So shall we settle for explaining why with a heavy heart we staged that walk-out?

Everything is Awesome: The Lego Movie Review

Every so often, there comes along a children’s movie that is appropriate for adults and children alike. The Lego movie tells a familiar story: an unlikely leader, a group of desperate believers, a master who commands you to just believe; all working together to save the world. Throw in the terribly catchy theme song (“Everything is Awesome!!!”: Tegan & Sara feat The Lonely Island) and you have a blockbuster!
